Dr. Sun’s medical journey began with a comprehensive five-year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which provided her with a rigorous grounding in TCM theory, diagnosis, herbal pharmacology, and acupuncture. Her formal education was just the beginning. She dedicated the next 15 years to serving within the demanding environment of major Chinese hospitals, first completing a year of rotational internship at the No. 2 Hospital of Luoyang, where she gained invaluable exposure to Western medical diagnostics and integrated patient care.
She subsequently honed her specialized skills as a key member of the Acupuncture Department at the same hospital, a prestigious institution with over 1,200 doctors.
Here, she managed a high volume of inpatients and outpatients, treating a wide spectrum of conditions and refining her ability to handle complex cases.
Her reputation for excellence led her to the Yellow River Expatriates Camp Hospital, where she was entrusted with the comprehensive healthcare of a large, diverse community of 1,600 workers and their families, further broadening her experience in community and occupational health.
